Plan your visit

What to know before you go

  • Kate Sessions Park, 5115 Soledad Rd, Pacific Beach. Street parking along Soledad Rd and Lamont St fills early, so carpool if you can.
  • Dress in layers and bring gloves. Real snow is cold snow, even in San Diego.
  • Closed-toe shoes for kids. Sneakers are fine; sandals are not.
  • Bring a towel and a change of clothes for the car ride home.
  • Rain or shine. If conditions force a change, RSVPs get a text and email first.

Questions

Snow Day FAQ

"Do I really need to RSVP if it's free?"

Yes, please. Your headcount tells us how much snow to order, how many volunteers to schedule, and how to set up the park. It also puts you first in line for any weather updates.

"Is this only for Cane Real Estate clients?"

No. Snow Day is open to the whole community. Bring the kids, the neighbors, and the grandparents. If you're new to the area, this is a good morning to meet people.

"What ages is it good for?"

Toddlers through teenagers, and plenty of adults who have never touched real snow. The snow zone is supervised, but parents stay with their kids throughout.

"What time should we arrive?"

Right at 9:00 am if you want the deepest snow and easiest parking. The snow softens as the morning warms, so earlier is better for building and sledding.

"What if it rains?"

We run rain or shine. If weather forces a schedule change, everyone who RSVP'd gets a text and email before the event. That's another reason to leave your cell number.
