About Rafael
I moved to San Diego in 1995 to attend San Diego State University. The plan was simple: improve my English, earn a degree, and return home with international experience and better job prospects. But I quickly fell in love with this beautiful city—and decided to stay.
While at SDSU, I took a Real Estate Principles class to fulfill an elective requirement. I had an incredible professor, and from that moment, my interest in real estate took off.
After graduating, I worked in the banking industry for a few years, focusing on loans. In 2002, I decided to get my real estate license—not only to purchase my first home but also to help friends and family do the same. That decision changed everything. I became a real estate agent with a passion for helping buyers—especially immigrants from Brazil and other Latin American countries—find their dream homes in San Diego.
I'm also an avid real estate investor, with a portfolio of 35 rental properties across Michigan and Texas. Here in San Diego, I help investors source, remodel, and manage properties—whether they’re looking to hold or sell.
